An ode to Apple at 50
Here’s to the greedy ones.
The shareholders.
The authoritarians.
The moneymakers.
The round icons in the squircle jails.
The ones who see things operationally.
They’re fond of their own rules.
And they will lobby for the status quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they control things.
They push the capitalist race forward.
And while some may see them as the greedy ones, we see profits.
Because the people who are greedy enough to think they can charge the world, are the ones who do.
